This years local Cruise Nights are getting a boost. In addition to maybe winning a trophy or plaque at a local show, this year we will be awarding trophies or plaques to the top participants in local car shows. What’s better is that you can win points for just entering shows, not just winning. Just let me or Linda Walker, know by phone or e-mail, the date and name of the car show you attended and which awards your car was awarded. If you have more than 1 Corvette, let us know which one won the award. This contest is only for Corvettes. Please be as specific as possible about what award your car won. The contest runs from Jan. 1, 2006 through Nov.19. If you want you may let us know monthly. From Frisco to Ft Worth, from Garland to Grapevine. Every weekend there are at least a few Local Car Shows. More than likely there is one not more than 30 minutes from where you live. Local Shows are a great place to get ideas for making your vette just a little different from all the others. Finding out who does the great paint jobs, who has the coolest accessories , and finding out ways to make your Corvette exactly that. Your Corvette. You get to meet other car enthusiasts, talk about car modifications and get some ideas on how to fix problems. Maybe win some cool prizes or maybe even your share of a 50-50 pot. Who knows, you may even go home with a trophy. All this for as little as $10. Where else can you get an afternoon or evening of fun for that kind of dough.
